| Luxor is a small town so most destinations on the East Bank of the River
Nile are usually within walking distance. However, whenever you are hot,
tired, dressed-up or in a hurry you might want to use one of the local transport
facilities. Distances are greater on the West Bank and it is usual to take
a taxi or catch a service car to your destination. Visitors might like to
try a more local method of transport and hire a donkey for a few hours.
Camels are expensive creatures and in Luxor are now used only by tourists. |
